Massive thanks to our corporate sponsors Deloitte, who raised an incredible £10,000 for us at their annual fundraising ball this weekend!
Deloitte
Deloitte have been one of our biggest corporate sponsors since 2019. Their Glasgow office originally selected us as their official charity partner for a period of 3 years, as part of their One Million Futures initiative. We were delighted that, earlier this year, we were successful in winning an extension of this, remaining in place as the official Glasgow charity partner for a further 3 years!
Through our partnership, Deloitte have lent us a range of support in different forms. The team have raised huge amounts for us through various methods, from participation in events like the Great Scottish Run and Ride Across Britain, to their own in-office initiatives including afternoon teas, pub quizzes and more! They’ve also lent us pro-bono support, holding mock interviews and offering career guidance to young trainees at the FareShare Glasgow & the West of Scotland depot. The team aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty either, and are regular faces on volunteer days helping out around the depot!
Annual Ball 2022
This year’s ball was the first major fundraising event the Deloitte team have held for us since the renewal of our partnership in June – and it did not disappoint! Held at the gorgeous Mar Hall on Saturday 1st October, the black tie event had it all. Deloitte Glasgow staff enjoyed dinner and dancing, and made lots of hugely generous donations. The fundraising raffle held for Move On resulted in an incredible £10,000 to support our services!
In the face of the cost-of-living crisis, fundraising is more difficult than ever right now. At the same time, demand for our services is growing at an incredible rate. This Winter looks like it could pose even greater challenges for our service users than those seen during the pandemic. We cannot overstate the importance of support from partners like Deloitte, and how incredibly grateful we are to the dedication and generosity of their team.
Move On team members John, Ash, Rachel and Andrea were delighted to have the chance to attend on the night – sharing in the success of the evening, and meeting the wonderful people who make up the Deloitte Glasgow team.
