Connect 2

Connect 2 is an eight week employability programme which runs three days per week from 10am–3pm.

The programme is a successful partnership between Glasgow City Council and three voluntary sector organisations working in Glasgow: Move On, FARE Scotland and Impact Arts.

Young people can complete the course in various locations across Glasgow, including The Prince’s Trust Wolfson Centre in the Gorbals, FARE Scotland’s office in the east end and in various city centre locations.

Connect 2 provides young people with taster sessions to increase their personal development and core skills including:

  • Communication
  • Problem solving
  • Team work
  • Practical, media and creativity skills

The programme helps young people set realistic career goals and develop an action plan to achieve these, as well as supporting the transition into mainstream education, training or employment opportunities.

Young people

Connect 2 is available for young people aged 16–19 who are facing barriers and need intensive support to make a positive transition onto further opportunities.

Young people are provided with a bus pass and lunch expenses. Eligible young people are supported to access Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) of £30 per week.
