Move On and Phoenix Futures recently facilitated the Elevate Glasgow PSP Pathways to Employment course in our Glasgow office training suite. The participants had the opportunity to engage in a number of employability activities, including writing a CV, mock interviews, researching a topic and producing and delivering a PowerPoint presentation on their chosen subject.
Participants were also able to complete practical work experience placements in our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland warehouse, the Phoenix Futures rehabilitation center in Anniesland or the 218 Service on Bath Street.
Throughout the course participants developed strong communication skills and enhanced levels of confidence, culminating in successful completion of an SQA Personal Development Award.
To finish on a high, the group took to the River Clyde on a speed boat, then returned to our Glasgow office the next day to belt out a rousing rendition of Flower of Scotland together!
