Our Christmas appeal
Supermarket vouchers for FareShare volunteers
We have a team of approximately 30 people who volunteer in our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland warehouse week in, week out.
We simply couldn’t redistribute as much food to feed as many people as we do without their support.
We would love to gift our volunteers with supermarket vouchers as a thank you for their hard work all year.

A Christmas gift for a young trainee
Our Training for Work course supports young people aged 16-24 to gain qualifications, skills and practical work experience in our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland warehouse.
Training for Work is open to people who are disengaged from education or mainstream services, have a disability or mental health condition, have caring responsibilities, or are impacted by poverty.
We will have a group of approximately 10 young people on our Training for Work course in December and we would love to gift them an Amazon voucher to add a little sparkle to their Christmas.
Suggested donation: £250
A day out for a mentored young person - Edinburgh
We match volunteer mentors to vulnerable young people aged 14-25 to support them to achieve a goal.
A consistent and trusted adult in a young person’s life can support them to take part in new experiences, develop skills, and increase their confidence.
A donation would be used to buy One4all vouchers for our mentor matches in Edinburgh. This would be a perfect treat for the young person and their mentor, giving them the opportunity to do a festive activity together, such as going to the cinema or out for something to eat.

Supermarket vouchers for adults in recovery
Venture on to Recovery supports people in recovery in Glasgow to create positive lasting change in their lives through outdoor activities and personal development workshops.
We currently have a group of 10 participants in our Venture on to Recovery course due to finish on 20th December. With many struggling financially, supermarket vouchers would help ease some of the pressure this Christmas.
Suggested donation: £250
Christmas stocking fillers for young people
We currently support approximately 100 children and young people across Glasgow and Edinburgh, through mentoring, befriending, and employability training.
We would love to make up Christmas stockings, with toiletries, toys, and chocolate, for our young people.
This small gesture would be a big boost this December.

If your business would prefer to volunteer this festive season, we’ve got you covered.
Our social enterprises in Glasgow and Edinburgh – FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland and Move On Wood Recycling – give employees the chance to step out of the office for a day and get hands-on making an impact in their local communities.
With flexible slots from Monday-Friday, our corporate volunteer days offer a team building activity with a difference, making a difference.
