We’re looking for a charity admin volunteer in Edinburgh to support our social enterprise, Move On Wood Recycling.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to enhance their CV by gaining admin experience and skills.

The successful applicant will be a valuable member of our team of staff, volunteers, and trainees, supported by our Operations Manager, Craig.

Full training, travel and lunch expenses will be provided.

About the role

Role: Charity admin volunteer

Location: Move On Wood Recycling, 3 New Broompark, EH5 1RS

Hours: 14 hours (8:30am-4:30pm)

Days: We ask that you volunteer two days minimum per week. Flexible days from Monday-Saturday (Monday is preferred for one of the days)

Tasks: Your main responsibilities will be answering phone calls and emails regarding timber and furniture orders, and waste wood collection bookings. You will also speak to customers as they come into the shop, answering questions and providing friendly customer service.

Impact: By volunteering with an Edinburgh charity, the role also means that you will be helping deliver positive environmental and social change in the local area and beyond.

Move On Wood Recycling is a social enterprise that collects waste wood from across Edinburgh and the Lothians, and sells reclaimed timber and upcycled furniture. As well as saving a valuable resource from going to landfill, the service provides quality volunteering, training, and work experience opportunities.

With an office, shop, and workshop, Move On Wood Recycling is based at 3 New Broompark, EH5 1RS.

Move On Wood Recycling is managed by our charity, Move On. We are part of Community Wood Recycling, a nationwide network of 28 social enterprises.
