Manchester Marathon runner Steven has raised a final total of £1140 for our social enterprise FareShare Glasgow & the West of Scotland! This is equivalent to providing 5700 meals, an amazing achievement following Steven’s original £500 target.
After completing the 26 mile run, Steven summed the day up as,
“an amazing experience and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.”
After a visit to our depot which redistributes surplus food to those in need, Steven stated,
“I’ve been really passionate about tackling food poverty for years now and when I saw the work everyone was doing there I knew I’d made the right decision.
I believe everyone should have access to healthy food and FareShare is doing their best so make that possible.”
