Happy New Year from everyone at Move On Scotland!
2021 hasn’t been without its challenges, but we’re proud to have continued to deliver our services throughout. We have so many highlights from 2021, including;
Delivering employability training to 21 young people in Glasgow through our Employability Fund, 12 young people in Edinburgh through our Building Better Futures programme – to name a few!
Saving 1484 tonnes of good quality surplus food from going to waste (that’s the equivalent weight of about 4 large passenger jets!) through FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland
Redistributing that food to form 3,533,404 meal portions to vulnerable people in our community (equivalent to about 6 meals for every resident of Glasgow)
Delivering employability training to 21 young people in Glasgow through our Employability Fund at FSGWS, and 12 young people in Edinburgh through our Building Better Futures programme at Move On Wood Recycling – to name a few!
And last but certainly not least, receiving the 2021 Supporting Youth Employability Award from SURF – Scotland’s Regeneration Forum for our Employability Fund course!
We’d like to thank our amazing staff, volunteers and young people again for making this possible, and everyone who continues to support us
We can’t wait for even bigger and better things in 2022!
