As an amazing six years comes to an end this month, we are celebrating our work with Deloitte!

We could see Deloitte shared in our commitment to supporting young people to make positive lasting change in their lives. This set the tone for a dynamic, thoughtful and hands-on collaboration that had ripple effects through our service delivery. Deloitte employees offered hands-on, impactful employability support, delivering varied employability workshops, career guidance and mock interviews, highlights include:

  • 90 young people successfully transitioned into further training and education following career guidance and interview practice, 30% of these also accessed employment or apprenticeships
  • 33 mock interviews were held by Deloitte volunteers for young people on our employability programmes
  • 175 laptops were donated to young people by Deloitte

Their employees also had an unwavering enthusiasm to volunteering at our social enterprise FareShare Glasgow & West of Scotland, which fights hunger and food waste by redistributing surplus food to charities and community groups. In the last three years, 197 volunteers contributed 1500 hours, ensuring fewer families go hungry.

The past few years have seen a challenging climate for charities. Fluctuating volunteer numbers and fundraising limitations during Covid were met with adaptability and determination. Deloitte employees remained engaged through in-person and virtual fundraising initiatives, including the Great Scottish Run, Ride Across Britain, Kilt Walk, Fundraising Balls and in-office events like afternoon teas and pub quizzes. Since 2019, their efforts have raised over £86,000 for Move On. This vital unrestricted funding has funded PPE for trainees, staff and volunteer costs, as well as funded much needed operational running costs.

Together we have broken down barriers and built futures, demonstrating the power of collaboration to create meaningful, lasting change. From all of us at Move On, a huge thank you for all of your support over the years!
